What we keep, and what we never do
Last updated November 2026
&found helps a school get a lost item back to the right family the same day. A small sticker goes on your child's things. When something turns up, someone at school taps it on an &found reader, and you get an email saying what was found and where it is.
What we keep
One thing: the email address you sign up with. You sign up by emailing the code printed on your sticker sheet to hello@getandfound.com. We record that address against that code, and nothing else about you.
If you choose to tell us what each sticker is on (a water bottle, a lunch box, a jacket), we keep that so the email can say exactly what turned up. That's optional.
What we never do
What the emails say
You'll get one email when you sign up, and one each time a tagged item is found. A found-item email says what was found, the room it's tagged to, and where to pick it up. Most families get a handful a school year.
How to leave
Reply STOP to any &found email. Your address is deleted right away, from every sticker code it was linked to. You can also email hello@getandfound.com with any question.
Sign-ups end on their own at the end of the school year, and addresses are deleted then. You'd sign up again with a new sheet the following fall.
Where it lives
&found runs on Cloudflare. Emails are sent through Resend. Both are in the United States. The school's reader sends us only the sticker's chip ID and the room; the roster that maps stickers to children stays on the school's own device.
Who we are
&found is an early-stage venture based in San Diego, California, being piloted in local schools during the 2026–27 school year. Reach us at hello@getandfound.com.
